Buddy Holly Meets the Beatles- Opening Saturday @ the Artisan-Market


Corey Sky will give you a taste of his repetoire Saturday, April 16th around noon at Ft. Greene Park's Artisan-Market 

Who Is Corey Sky? 
Corey Sky is a prolific singer songwriter currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. His catchy melodies will have you singing and bopping along for days. Corey Sky’s music pulls from a myriad of genres including Folk, Rock N Roll, Pop, and Doo-wop. His music style has been described as a modern twist on Buddy Holly meets the Beatles. 

What is Corey Sky’s Story? 
Corey Sky was born in Corvallis, Oregon on March 4th 1990 (the only day of the year that doubles as a command. Get it? Like forward, march!). Corey started learning guitar his sophomore year of high school thinking it would be a great way to attract more girls. By the end of his junior year Corey had written his first song and never stopped writing. He now has roughly 50 original songs. After high school Corey went to Rutgers University to study business and economics. He continued his studies for a year and a half and then decided to move to New York, and pursue his dream to become a full time musician.

Why Corey Sky? 
Many of Corey’s songs touch on the subjects of love, desire, and heartbreak: familiar feelings for all of us. His strong presence on stage mixed with his natural charisma make his shows consistently fun and exciting to watch.  He has played at some of the hottest venues in New York including: Bar East, UC Lounge, The Gallery Bar, Habibi Lounge, Argo Tea CafĂ©, Ship Of Fools, Desmond’s Tavern, The Exchange Bar & Grill, K&M, and Spike Hill. coreysky.com.
