Son of a Potter- Chris Dewees -

A lifelong resident of Ft. Greene, Chris Dewees thinks of pottery as an avocation and uses his limited spare time creating at Greenwich House Pottery in Manhattan. The basics were learned in his mother's studio, where she put him to work as a very young assistant. Now he is fine-tuning his skills and experimenting with various glazes. He enjoys exhibiting and selling his creations at Ft. Greene Park's Artisan-Market on a weekly basis during the market season and is always ready for a dialogue related to pottery, his viewpoints, and just about anything else.
